Electrical safety

Electrical safety is a basic criterium on any piece of electrical equipment, and especially on medical equipment. The requirements are part of the respective CE regulations. The producer can fullfil these requirements by producing according to harmonized (European) standards. For most productgroups these are produced in the framework of CEN/CENELEC. In the Netherlands these are issued by NEN.

In addition safe connections of the equipment to the electrical power network are important. In rooms for medical purposes correct and safe layout of the electrical installations and connections are of utmost importance.
